OUR BABY HAS ARRIVED!!!
April 22, 2005 brought the birth of....Baby Cruz, P.J. (Pipo Jr.), little Chuckie or to be more legal....Carlos Manuel Fernandez IV....
Arriving at Leesburg Reginal Medical Center (where his Mom is in RN training)....among family members from his Mom's side and his Dad's side....his first request on planet earth.....was 'food'...and 20 minutes later, again.....food....
Is he his Daddy's son or what?
His Father did call from Iraq within 30 minutes of his birth and was able to hear on the phone his son's loud request for 'food'....this baby did not 'whimper' like a new born....he yelled with lungs that could be heard from afar!
Needless to say, we all are thrilled and celebrate his birth....
Melissa Jo was 'Wonder Woman' of the day....she allowed everyone access immediately and was calm, and cool....while we 'oohed' and 'awed' her miracle success....
What a blessing....we thank God for another family member to love and share in his growth of faith, fun and family...

Moments In Time
Attending my prayer partners wedding on Saturday was certainly a wonderful celebration...
Our dear, Nancy and Stan, was united in Holy Matrimony and the service was sacred....
With tears in my eyes, I could only remember the many years that brought her to this moment in time...
Long ago Nancy made a list of the attributes she desired in a 'perfect mate' and we as her prayer partners agreed in prayer with her....
But Nancy, being Nancy, added a funny P.S. to her list....that being, "Lord, let him look good in jeans!"
Stan, the man, was 'heavenly selected' for his 'earthly' mission of being the perfect mate for Nancy (and she for him as well).....their combined five children agree....
It was a Happy Day....
It was a precious moment in time....
It was an Answer to Prayer!
It was....
A Miracle!

Shower for Baby "Cruz"
What a good celebration we had on Saturday as we had food, fun and games....and gifts for the upcoming Carlos IV.....(See pictures below...)
Needless to say, a baby is very welcome in our family.....allows all of us to 'act like children' with the children.....
I'm reminded of an explanation of God written by an 8 yr.old that I posted on my site previously....it goes like this....
EXPLANATION OF GOD:

"One of God's main jobs is making people.
He makes them to replace the ones that die,
so there will be enough people to take care of things on earth.
He doesn't make grownups, just babies.
I think because they are smaller and easier to make.
That way he doesn't have to take up his valuable time teaching them

...so saith an 8-yr.old.....
