Through The Years!

Dear Ones,
Through the years I have written this blog for our family and friends as it was initiated on

October 24, 2002. 

The early posts on It Is A Good Life did not have a format for placing pictures in my blog.

This changed and my first pictures were posted on July 1, 2004.

It is said that a  'picture speaks a thousand words' and in some cases this is true.

As you  know, all of our families lives changed when our dear one, Dad, Pops, Poppa, my Honey,

went to the very real 'Good Life' Heaven on Sept. 21, 2013.

What has not changed is that our Families priorities remain the same....

GOD, FAMILY AND OUR COUNTRY, THE GOOD OLE USA!

This is the Island of Anquilla.  We took a day ferry from Margot, St. Marteen to this British
Island which is very natural and primitive.  It is a Paradise Sea Shore.

Celebrating Lynn's Birthday, Finally!

Our Family has postponed this Celebration several times and last night it finally came to pass.
We met at Outback on Sheldon and the food and delivery time was terrible.
They did compensate us and yet it turned out 'good' because we had longer than usual celebration time together.

Week-End in Okeechobee Fun

Seeing friends and family in Okeechobee this week-end was a treat for Charlie and I.
Sam & Sally welcomed us with open arms and brother Dockie and 'Sister' Annie P. arrived in their
 'Eagle's Nest' Carver to 'Sam's Fish Fry Feast'.....
Felt like 'old times' :)

Sally's son, Gary, Ann and Family also came so it was like a Family Reunion.

Miss Cheerleader, Kinsley, has grown up so much...

Are YOU Happy?

Just read in today's newspaper a 'Gallup Poll' on the Happiest people in 148 countries.
The world's happiest people aren't in Qatar, the richest country by most measures.
They aren't in Japan, the nation with the highest life expectancy.
Or Canada, with its chart-topping percentage of college graduates.
Surprisingly it was NOT the wealthy and orderly city-state that ranks among the most developed in the world that was on the Happiest list. 
None of these made the top 10 'happiest' countries.
It was a tie between Panama & Paraguay.
In Paraguay, tied with Panama as the most-positive country while doing far worse than Panama by objective measures, a street vendor, Maria Solis said tough economic conditions were NO reason to despair.
"Life is short and there are no reasons to be sad because even if we were rich, there would still be problems," she said while selling her herbs used for making tea.
"We  have to LAUGH at ourselves...."

We Celebrate Brittney's 29th Birthday...and have for 2 weeks now....and will 4ever!

They were sooo polite with their cake...but did like licking icing off the candle bottoms...


What a blessing these precious boys are.  Ash & Matt are the best parents on 'full time' duty always.
