Party Time….Again?

Haven’t had time to write since 4th of July Celebration….that lasted a week or so….Yesterday was Joshua’s 3rd Birthday but with the real big Family Party on Sunday at Chad’s yet to come….
Joshua thinks a birthday lasts a week…not just one day….
Charlie and I and Lynn (Neena) took him to Chucky Cheese for lunch yesterday and a fun playtime…
He is certainly growing up…was more interested in game machines than riding things….He likes competition it seems….
At any rate celebrating is continuous in our large family since it is always someone’s birthday, graduation, anniversary etc….
It is no wonder that Joshua thinks the world is one great big PARTY…it has been all his life of three years….
What a happy way to look at life…..through the eyes of a child….

Prayer Girls Celebration

Today was our normal Prayer Girls meet…
They came into my house with Birthday Cake and gifts….
What a wonder they are….
Taina was not with them since she is starting a new school/job enterprise.
She was a part of our prayer requests….
We caught up on family and friend news and then stated our requests in conversation style prayer….writing them down in our Prayer Journals.
Then we bowed our heads and presented our prayers, thanks and gratitude to the Heart of God..
The Scriptures tell us to ‘bring our burdens to the Lord AND LEAVE THEM THERE!” Leaving them is the hard part…
Waiting upon the answer to prayer requires great patience sometime…
And we want to do God’s work for Him during the meantime ofen times to bring our own answers to the problems or situations…
Yet, we have seen so many times of ‘God’s Miracle Intervention’ in the lives of our people…1 Corn 2:18 asks…:“Who can move the Hands of God in prayer?” Our very lives answer that question every day….
My son made we a wooden plaque that says….
“Why Worry? When You Can Pray!”
That’s what we did today….and I pray for all of you who are reading this page….May God TRULY bless you like He has, is, and will…Bless me!
Celebrate Life! You have God’s permission!

Movie…The Notebook

Charlie and I went to the movies yesterday to see…The Notebook…
Bittersweet it was….and really good too…I recommend it highly…
Reminds me of the fragility of life….enjoying each day to the fullest and recognizing, as Chad says…..Health is the first Wealth…
Having fun, celebrating with family and friends, enjoying The Good Life in America…..ALL encompasses the moment of NOW!
That is all any of us have….
This NOW is worth celebrating with passion, zest and the God given energy that emits from good health….
I pray for you and yours….the best of health….and if you have health problems….I pray the Miracle of healing in those areas that are needed….
Dr. Jesus broke up every funeral He went to and is still in the healing business….A medical Miracle may be required, a bad habit (ie; cigarette, alcohol, excess of any kind ) may require a Miracle change in a life…or simply changing the mind and heart from negative to positive…
At any rate…..one’s health is important and vital to the enjoyment and participation of…..NOW!
The Notebook makes one think….capture the moment…Life is Precious!

An older Cherokee man is teaching his grandson about life.

“A fight is going on inside me," he says to the boy.
“ It's a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.
One is evil. He is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, arrogance,
self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride,
superiority, and ego.
The other is good. He is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity,
humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity,
truth, compassion and faith.
This same fight is going on inside you and inside every other
person."

The grandson thinks about it for a minute and then asks his grandfather,
"Which wolf will win?"
The old Cherokee replies, "The one you feed."
