Saturday was a fun day for local boating and going to Shell Island and Egmont Key with Charlie, Chad and Brian was FUN...
It did make me aware....anew....of the wonders of living in 'water heaven'.....Florida.
At times, the traffic on the water compares with I-4 to Disney World.
Even going to an uninhabited island.....there are people galore....telling themselves "we are really 'getting away from it all'...."
Yea, right!
I certainly hear and echo saying....."I'm Enjoying the Good Life Too....".

Only way to visit Shell Island is by boat......if a docking space can be found!

Receiving a phone call yesterday from Chuckie/Pipo who is in Iraq was kinda frustrating...the connection was bad...usually it is very clear....and it seemed like we kept saying, "Can you hear me now?"
Still and all......just hearing his voice was a thrill...
There's nothing like talking nonsense....with someone you love!

Good Intentions!

For the past few days I have been 'planning', 'intending', or thinking about visiting a person who has had a 'life long' imput into our family ...
It seems that somehow, someway the act of 'living life' gets in the way of these 'good intentions'...
Then I hear my sweet Southern Mama's profound truth ring with wisdom in my ears...."You know the jail house is filled with people with 'good intentions'..."
.....Yep, as Mama says, "Action speaks louder than words..."

Seeing is Believing!

Our Chuckie in IraQ did get special permission to go online in order to see pictures of his 'newborn' son....
Pipo knew that there were family web-sites which would have the latest pictures posted....and he saw the face of his son, 'little cuatro 'Cruz'' for the first time on a computer..
No more of the days when the 'Red Cross' takes a Polaroid shot of family newborns and gets it to the troops.... in a week or so....

The weather is perfect....the beaches are inviting...a family birthday party is scheduled for tomorrow, plans for a mini-vacation are in the works.....
expressions of the Good Life are all around.

Yep, there are still 'issues to solve daily', problems to resolve as they arise, misunderstandings and normal 'hindrances of life'.....
But the decision that counts is.....
I will enjoy the quality of life that God has so blessed me with....
America is the greatest....
.....family and friends are a constant source of 'stimulating interest
and enhancement of life'.....who could NOT be happy?

Only one who chooses not to be...on purpose.
So C'mon, Get Happy.....on purpose!
