Florida…The Good, the Bad and the Ugly in Paradise!

I am sitting in the Gaylord Palms Hotel in Orlando, Florida with "Michelle" Lynn and Tony. We are waiting for Hurricane Frances to make her appearance…There are 1406 rooms in this hotel and the desk tells me that they are filled to capacity.
Lynn and I came from Tampa/Clearwater on Thursday to the Paula White "Satisfied Woman" Conference. Guess what?
We have been "stormed in"….
The conference was awesome….1,500 praying women from all over the U.S. and other countries as well….in the midst of a brewing storm….is a powerful force to behold.
Getting to know some of these women on a personal basis…and crisis encounters as well….has certainly given me a sense of peace that so many women with genuine faith in God…and Family….are praying and living daily in this same strength of the heart….
In addition the hotel has what it calls the "Best of Florida Festival".
This Hotel has three theme sections…Key West, St. Augustine and Everglades Village . Lynn, Tony and I went to the Everglades section and met Wild Florida’s Storytelling Guide…Butch Harrison who calls himself A REAL Florida Cracker…(See Pictures below) Being a native Floridian myself, it was interesting to talk to him, especially as he very naturally made reference to ‘his faith’ in our conversation.
I love meeting ‘good people’.
Meeting Martha and her sister, Pat, sitting next to beautiful Charlie and her wonderful Mom, Bobbi, and talking to dazzling Alana and her friends, seeing Angela and her ‘date’…has made it all a very memorable experience.
You, dear, dear women….thank you for bringing new joy and beauty to my life with your instant friendship thru our mutual love for Jesus Christ…His Father and Ours…and His Holy Spirit of LOVE…
I salute you every one!
