All American…..Wedding

What a wonderful wedding it was on Saturday for Melissa Jo and Marine Chuckie/Pipo in Brooksville.
It was an ‘All American…Southern Style’ tribute to…..Love.
Knowing that Chuckie will be deploying soon after the first of the year made it a bittersweet happening.
Having his friends in Marine uniform…who will be deploying as well….made us all realize that this day, December 18th, 2004 was actually a very precious, special and sacred time in our lives…..
Melissa Jo’s family presented a very first-class environment for this wonderful event. Genieve, her wonderful Southern Grandmother, made the most beautiful wedding cake……ever. The grooms cake, with the American Eagle being the theme…..brought tears to my eyes.
Genieve gave of her heart through the gift of her talents….each cake attached to the main cake with a bridge….was a different flavor…..
The ‘hummingbird’ cake was my favorite…full of spices and nuts…..kinda like married life!
The reception at the Brooksville Golf and Country Club was the most fun event….and no one wanted it to end….
Joshua, the ring bearer, was part of the dancing entertainment…..
When it was time to part….Uncle Rich who had come from N.C., took Chuckie aside and gave him a special necklace…..saying…”I wore this during my time in the Gulf War. It is now for you….all I ask is that you bring it back….”
Melissa Jo and Chuckie left to go skiing….with the hearts prayers for blessings….of around 200 family and friends……we had all received….. the real meaning of Christmas…….L O V E
