Tradition
A few years ago Charlie, Chuck Jr., and Richard built a Tiki Hut in our back yard…..A sign atop it said…“Island Boat Landing…..”
Another one up front said…
“No Boat Today…Maybe Ma~na`na”…
Needless to say, the recent Florida storms took a toll on the Tiki Hut and repair was needed……Yesterday, Richard Jr. i.e.; Mattie C. carried on the Tiki Hut tradition along with Pops….sharing Corona’s as well….
Mattie C. is a ‘die-hard’ when it comes to family traditions….thank God for that….(See pictures below)
This act of remaking memories….tradition with a youthful-fun twist brings the Spirit of the Season into reality for our family….
Monday the family Marine, i.e.; Pipo, was in town sporting of all things…..one of the largest ‘patriotic’ tattoo’s that I’ve ever seen….
American Flag, Eagle, Marine Crest….he has it all!
Remember this is the guy that is getting married on December 18th.
Oh, well, each to his own…..if he had asked me before doing it I would have said, “Absolutely Not!”
But honestly I do have to admit…..NOW….I LIKE it!
***Two Identity Traps***
1. Belief that you should be someone other than…..YOURSELF!
2. Assumption that others will do things the way that YOU WOULD!
