Crazy or Creative???

Our son, Chad, just bought a house in our neighborhood.
Family knowing Chad.....knows that he has, successfully, bought, lived in, and sold several homes in the last few years....to his financial advantage....

Seems to me that, as we Southerners say, he has 'bit off more than he can chew'....with this one....

The house was beautiful.....and not cheap....and he has destroyed it!

A week after the closing, the inside is unliveable.....
Walls have been knocked down, all kitchen cabinets, appliances, ceiling, floor tile etc.....are in a huge dumpster in the driveway....
Even the 'popcorn' ceilings are being removed to make way for the 'new' to come....

The former owners would cringe if they could see their beautiful dream home reduced to a pile of rubble....deliberately...
Some appliances have been bartered to other family members but mostly the sledge hammer reigned supreme this week.

At first it seemed so crazy to me.....insane....actually....
But walking into the master bath rubble and hearing, 'this will be a his and hers separate dressing area, the man's side will have a 'in the wall LCD TV moniter' for viewing the news while dressing etc.and the woman's mirrors and lighting will be state-of-the-art....
The kitchen with granite counters, stainless appliances and open dining will be a woman's or man's dream for cooking and living.........
Kinda made me wish I would own such a house......
Seems that is the object after all.....
Chad's new 'Tommy Bahamas Look' Florida house that he had just sold in New Tampa was bought by a couple who had previously looked at 22 houses and when they walked into Chads their response was...
"THIS is our Dream House....We want it....even, separately, buying the 42" Plasma TV installed in wall......"

Home means different things to different people....
As the cliche says, "Money can buy a house but only a 'heart' can build a .....Home"....
Our 'Family Home' is still a castle to me....even though it does need a little 'upgrade' now and then......
Yes, Home is where the heart is.....ask our family Marine, Chuckie/Pipo....
Home.....a word used frequently by all our troops....
H O M E......you can not buy one......
you can only buy a house in which to build a ......H O M E.
A wonderful family H O M E.....is priceless!
That's what Chad declared yesterday as he ate 'Mamma's pot roast' after a hard afternoon of 'unbuilding a house'......
Home Sweet Home.....enjoys yours!
