Preparation Fun....

Spending the week-end at our boat, The Milagro, in Okeechobee while our fellow boaters prepared for their upcoming trip to the Bahamas.....was FUN!
At the end of this month, six or more boats will be going to the Bahamas for a 'island hopping' two-week ....well-deserved.....vacation!

Rain, rain and more rain did not dampen our enjoyment of time spent working, eating, laughing and doing 'land/dock' duty...

We did get some 'bad news'....a large 'moneyed' company has purchased our native Florida marina at Taylor Creek....
In essence, this means that our days are numbered there....in fact 'certified' letters were served that the rent was going up $200. MORE per month even while the marina is still 'storm damaged'....
We get the message...'come-hell-or-high-water'... they want us out for the new 'moneymaking' project to come...

Ask any Florida boater....this is happening over and over again....options are running out for the pleasure boaters in and around Florida...
Sad to say, this 'hobby' unlike golf, tennis, etc. is being threatened for the real native Floridians who have used the waterways and nature environments responsibly.....
Yep, we are being 'thrown out again' of yet another Florida marina....
Will it ever end?
