A Happy Home...
Recently I was reading a very old devotional book called....Captured by Mystery....
I was blessed by the writing of A Happy Home.....The words were very simple....and true...
I present them now to you and ask ....Do YOU want....or do YOU have....
A Happy Home...
When a home fails, the tragedy is so great because the promise was so vast.
For nothing on earth can compare with.....A Happy Home.
Rarely is a home happy by....sheer accident.
People must work to make it so.
The man (or woman) who has disciplined himself all day in the office
cannot revert to a heedless and shiftless life at home -
not if he wants a happy home...
Here, if anywhere, the virtues of patience, love and trust
must come into their finest play.
It takes a lot of.....LOVE.
Self-indulgence and self-pity are powerful centrifugal forces
tearing apart the very fabric of a home...
Where in love each member of the home,
father, mother, and child, is alert to give loving service to
the other.....there one finds...."heaven on earth."
It takes a lot of patience.
Nowhere do people live so close;
nowhere do people threaten so to collide.
A home should be the haven for the relaxed, uninhibited life.
It can be a place of unrestrained joy only if each member
accepts with patience the rights and peculiarities of the other...
It takes a lot of.....trust.
Jealousy, suspicion, and distrust are mortal foes of a happy home.
It is far better for each to trust too much....than too little.
And it takes.....faith.
Nor is faith in one another enough.
All must be held together in an encompassing faith in God,
the author and giver of all the graces and gifts of....
a happy home.....
