Are we humans really as 'smart' as we think we are????

The beauty of 'simplicity' amazes me!
Especially now in the year 2011 where I have all the latest 'gadgets' to include something that used to be called a 'Smart Phone' when it first came out.
Now the term 'smartphone' seems dated.
A US army soldier using an iPhone "app" on his 'Smartphone'.

We even have something called the 'smart bomb'.
Does that mean other bombs are 'dumb bombs'?
                    (From: http://www.howstuffworks.com/)
A 'dumb bomb' is considered 'dumb' because it simply falls to the ground without actively steering itself.
Needless to say, it's some feat hitting a target precisely with this type of weapon.
A bomber might have to drop dozens, or even hundreds of dumb bombs to take out a target effectively.
"Smart bombs," by contrast, control their fall precisely in order to hit a designated target dead on.
How in the world did we get here so FAST?
And yet, we can't seem to solve the economic problems of our  times which effect us all.
How 'smart' are we really?
ARE WE 'DUMBER' THAN 'SMART'?
I do not know the answer to this question.  All I know is that 'the more I know' ....the more I find that I
                                      'do NOT know'!
As I sit in my 'tropical look garden/pool area' writing on my electronic machine, the birds around me are singing their  heart out in joy of the new day.
Should I play with my 'smartphone' use my 'gadgets' or join in the JOY of the birds delight in another beautiful, sunshiny spring day in Florida?
One choice would be 'smart'.....the other would be 'dumb'.
Smart choice.......

I can NEVER thank Him enough"...Psalm 44:8 (LB)

A Prayer from the Heart..
(some teachings from Handle With Prayer)
Before He left this world, Jesus promised, "I am with you always," and later, "I will never leave you comfortless."  He was speaking not as a human being but as a living spirit.  That living spirit is available to us, you and me, at all times, and prayer is our way to reach and receive it.
I pray that all of your most cherished dreams and visions come true.
I pray that your heart's desires are fulfilled in miraculous and wonderful ways.
I pray that your life is free of fear and pain and that all you do is a blessing to everyone you meet.
I pray that God be with you, and that you are continually aware
of His Divine and Precious Presence.
......Even more, I pray that you discover and master the power of prayer;
that you experience the deep joy of knowing that the God that crated you, walks with you and
                                     will never desert you.
                                                       .......ALL IS WELL.
We are not alone, and heaven is within our reach.
In Jesus Name
Amen
