Lighting 1st Advent Candle.... Posted by Hello

Intense Happiness

Breezing through the Thanksgiving Holidays with Family and Friends was a whirlwind of intensity….
Shopping on the following days was even more intense.
Making quick financial decisions and choices for the many names on my Christmas List was quite an adventure….
Arriving on Sunday morning at our decorated church and then returning home to light the 1st Candle of Advent, surely put Charlie and I into the ‘Spirit of Christmas‘, mood.
Little Joshua experienced his first ’lighting of the candle’ and his little face lit up with JOY….(See below)
It is so wonderful to see the world thru the eyes of this child….
Joshua is a very intense and…..smart….child.
He ‘loves’ certain things with a passion and others things are really ‘yucky’…….
He informed me last night that I had ‘put too much food’ in one container and that was ‘why’ I couldn’t get the lid to stay on….
He was so right!
Intense happiness and joy is a sight to behold…..and a magnet as well….
……May your holidays be filled with intense…..serendipity!

Happy Thanks...Giving! Posted by Hello

Giving Thanks for……Fun-Work

Returning from Okeechobee late last evening…..due to heavy traffic on S. I 75 we were glad to be “Home” again.
Charlie helped Sam work two days on his storm damaged roof while
Sally and I talked and talked and talked…..enjoying their river view as well….
Sam and Sally live in a very interesting place….
It is a river side….personal aircraft community….
Owning a home on the river is a option with a hanger across the street for your personal plane…..or you can live on the airstrip with your hanger attached to your house or separately….the woods surrounding the area are totally awesome…(See pictures)
Serenity and Beauty are in abundance…..certainly it is my idea of the ’good life’…..
Taylor Creek where we have ‘The Milagro‘…..now that is another issue entirely…..
It remains storm damaged…..our view is flawed….but in the midst of it, there was a beautiful egret sitting upon a clump of lily pad in the harbor….
Charlie has worked hard on the Milagro to put her back in shape….and she is coming back to life after her storm shock….
Giving the inside teak a face lift was work but rewarding in beauty….
The out-drive that had to be repaired….and boat taken out of the water….was a major event with many hands helping in the process.
Front windshields were blown out and have now been replace with newer high-grade Plexiglas….
Milagro is ‘mechanically sound’ again ….thank God!
Preparing for celebrating our blessings during Thanksgiving tomorrow….is a family fun-feast that is much needed at this time.
May you and all those you hold dear …..enjoy thanks…giving….tomorrow!

Happily Ever After….Now and Then!

Attending a Family Wedding, Dana’s and Sean’s, in the Alachua/Gainesville area was almost like a family reunion…
There were many family members we have not seen in years….children have grown into young men and women…..and have ‘youngens’ that look like they did at that age….
It was remarkable….the family DNA was very evident…
Dana was certainly a beautiful….and HAPPY….bride and her ‘prince charming’ has an investment in that happiness…..

Traveling in a caravan of four cars from our Tampa/Clearwater area was an adventure in itself….
Cell phones were in use constantly on the road…..and we still got lost trying to find the church.
Matt put in a last minute call back to Chad on his computer and going to map quest ‘Got us to the church on time“….five minutes before the bride walked down the isle….
Heard there were other ‘intelligent/stupid’ people who had the same problem!
At any rate, it certainly was a good family event and Dana and Sean have the blessings of all those dear ones who live near and far….
Jimmy Buffett sings a song called, “Happily Ever After….Now and Then” and I think that aptly describes the relationship called “Marriage”….
Perfection it is not…..worth the investment……Most Certainly….
Proof of that was evident in the lives of all those who attended this wedding.
Family togetherness is the yield on a lifetime of investing in…….....The Good Life called......FAMILY!
Best Wishes and Prayers to Mr. & Mrs. Sean Litchfield……
