Happy 26th Birthday Dear Brittney
We Love You!

Dec 8, 2009

While experiencing emotions of expectancy in my preparations for the upcoming Christmas events,
truth be told, I'm about 'Christmased out' already!
Gifts, creativity, how much to spend, watching the budget,
decorating the house,
making up Christmas cards, mailing them and gifts etc. and on and on and on...
After all we are actually celebrating a Birthday and God knows
our family LOVES Birthday Parties.
as you can see the little ones singing 'Happy Birthday' to Jesus last year in 2008...
But this largest of all Birthday Parties is a very special event
and the 'child' comes out in most of us and the fun begins.
.....Ash & Brian get caught stealing Baby Jesus & Mary....

Yes, there is much work, preparation, and expense
BUT
in the end....it is worth it all....I know this from personal experience.
I'm remembering last years Family Christmas (pic below)
when we were together at our house,
before Chuck & Terry went to Kenya...
and the memories are priceless!
Let me take this time to wish all of you
a very blessed and precious
Christmas of Jesus Love with those you hold dear.
We can never come back to this moment in time...
It is a Gift of NOW !
Be Blessed
Merry Christmas

This is NO Angel....just Skydiving Fun...See below How to Be an Earthbound Guardian Angel

How to Be an Earthbound Guardian Angel -by Connie Anzalone...and Faith

Be a friend; true friendship is a priceless gift.
Always listen with your heart; you must listen to a person before you can attempt to help them in any way,
 so always listen wholeheartedly.
Reach out to those in need, even if you aren't quite sure what it is that they need from you.
Realize that miracles are not mysterious or impossible to achieve.
A miracle is the small thing you do that makes a big difference in someone else's life.
Remind someone that life is precious and worth living, even though their world seems hopeless and dark.
Know that loving feeling is the key to understanding.
You must have some idea of how the other person feels before you can begin to understand them.
Keep the spirit of the holidays with you all year long.
Don't pack away your good will along with the ornaments after the holidays.
Be honest in loving and caring about someone;
sincere compassion is the best kind to give, and honesty is angelic.
Don't expect to sprout wings;
instead be satisfied with the warm flutter of accomplishment and joy.
Listen to your intuition; it won't fail you in times of doubt.
Most of all, encourage more people to do all of the above,
through your own shining example.....

Be Blessed as you....Bless Others!

Family Thanksgiving Fun

Sister Britt gives Brother Matt a kiss for all his hard work
in doing a 'gourmet' turkey with his Chef Emeril Lagasse recipe....
it was so good that he gets to do our Christmas turkey as well!

Ash and Mandy....sassy women!

Of course, Chad & Joshua had to have some 'trick gifts'
Chad even put on his 'designer embossed' underwear....over his jeans...
Way to go, JJ!

Chef Matt and his Mrs...a beautiful team

Dylan and his 'Neena'...a fun filled pair....

This was not the best Family shot....but it was the silliest and 'most fun' out
of all the time delayed ones...
Family....that is what Thanks+giving blesses us with...All Year!

Message of Giving Thanks from our Son & Wife, Chuck & Terry on the Mission field in Kenya, Africa

Direct Quote from weekly Journal in Kenya, East Africa:

"With Thanksgiving approaching this week I feel compelled to share a unique perspective of Thanksgiving from a third world country. Thanksgiving is an American holiday and is not celebrated here in Kenya. However this week they will have a week of “harvest prayers” to ask God to bless their next crop. This point brings to mind the many things in America we have to be thankful for. When you sit down with your family or friends around a table full of food, take a moment to remember the people of Kenya. Their diet generally consists of one meal per day substituted with hot tea, bread and or a piece of fruit. That one main meal, usually dinner, consists of a corn meal type product called “ugali” and a collar green vegetable known as “sukuma”. Meat is only partaken of with special guests or special occasions. Keep in mind there is no variety with this staple diet and it is eaten most every day. I am thoroughly convinced that many of the health problems experienced here are from malnutrition and inadequate diet. While the people we are working with are not starving to death from a lack of food they are starving their body from a well balanced diet. Yet they are some of the happiest people you will ever met and able to praise God for every blessing of life. We are blessed to be from the land of plenty and the greatest country on the face of the earth. Thank God we don’t have to eat the same thing every day and that we can pick and choose what we want. Enjoy the blessings of God this week and remember to thank Him for His bountiful provision but most of all thank Him for the sacrifice of His Son."

Daily Word on Grace....and Forgiveness....

Grace and Forgiveness...A 'Daily MUST'

I am supported by the unconditional love of God.

Mistakes are a natural part of learning--just as falling down is a natural part of learning to walk. But when I make a serious mistake, I may find it hard to forgive myself for what I have said or done.
I cannot make amends if I remain stuck in a
cycle of self-blame or criticism.
Instead, I remember that God loves me unconditionally.
I take responsibility for my actions, and with God's grace, I do my best to resolve the situation.
This may require a heartfelt apology, a change in my behavior or another step.
I trust God to guide me to the best response.
As I open to the grace of God, I am able to forgive myself and accept God's unconditional love.

Now I commend you to God and to the message of his grace,
a message that is able to build you up.--Acts 20:32

Magnify.....the Good!

Daily Word — Wednesday, November 4, 2009

Magnify

I magnify God's good in my life.
Whatever I focus my thoughts on increases.
This is true for all things, wanted and unwanted.
Thinking fearful thoughts increases my fear.
Focusing on what I love enhances my experience of love.
I magnify all manifestations of good by focusing my thoughts on God.
Appreciation is a God-given power tool that magnifies the good in my life.
Any time during the day, I can use this tool to re-energize my body, mind and spirit.
I appreciate the vitality that flows through my body.
I value the clarity of my thoughts and memory.
I appreciate the ever-present love of God that lifts my spirits.
I am grateful for my ability to magnify God's good in my life.

O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.--Psalm 34:3
