Enough, Already!
Now is the time....to slow down...
Putting out 'fires' left and right can be....tiresome, don't you know?
I have received some imput that I have not been
'writing enough' nonsense that makes sense....
Does this makes sense?
In any event, this is my goal to try to remedy that...
There is certainly a full time job in life of trying to interrupt the
'nonsense' of the world.....into good common sense...
for successful living.
As I listen to all the members of our large family...seems like
they, too, are shouting BACK AT life...
ENOUGH ALREADY!

Coincidences
"Lord, I was intrigued with the brilliant vocabulary
of the patient sitting next to me in the reception room.
I don't remember the start of our conversation
but suddenly we were discussing prayer.
I shared rather freely Your pertinent answers
to my day-to-day request.
Labeling himself a skeptic...
he smiled and said courteously,
"What you consider answered prayer,
I choose to call coincidence."
You know how it is with me, Lord ~
I'm always slightly ill-at-ease
in the Big Middle of a theological discussion.
Frankly I was relieved when the dentist called my name....
But one thing I do know, Lord,
When I pray, 'coincidences' happen.
When I don't pray...they stop....
So, thank you, again and again
For ten thousand 'coincidences'...
Always in the 'nick of time'....when I pray....

JOY

J O Y...JOY...JOY

In quiet moments of reflection,
I feel a stirring of God's joy deep in my heart.
This is a joy that is waiting to be given full expression in my life.
I appreciate the happiness I feel in even the simplest of times:
when the fun-loving antics of a child cause me to laugh
or the sun shines warmly on my face
or I look into the face of a new-born child....
In quiet times and in times full with activity,
the joy of God wells up from deep within me and
overflows out to those around me.
And like a ripple in a pond,
joy spreads out touching person after person.
Joy also returns to me.....
I see it in the faces of others and hear it in their laughter.
I welcome the joy of God and its power to transform my life.
Joy brings out divine qualities in me as
I give it full expression in my life.
~Psalm 5:11..."Let all who take refuge in You rejoice;
let them ever sing for joy."

East Coast Trip

Have you ever taken 10 vacations in one?
Our recently traveled 2 week East Coast Trip was a whirlwind tour.
Sally & Sam, Dockie and Ann, and Charlie and I traveled from Pt. Orange, Florida to Calais, Maine on Hwy. 1 or 1A all along the East Coast of the United States.
We tried to outrun Hurricane Ernesto from Charleston, S.C. to Myrtle Beach but finally pulled off the road for shelter in Pawley Island, S.C.
winds were around 70 mph...
Sam made the remark that
"We stupid Floridians have traveled 740 miles to be in the eye of the storm.."
Along our route we saw more boats than we dreamed existed....rode more ferries than I can count and saw east coast lighthouses everywhere...
America's coastline is truly beautiful...three years ago with Dockie and Ann we did the Pacific Coast Hwy. from Washington state to Tijuana, Mexico...
that too, was a whirlwind tour.
This trip we ended our approximately 5,000 miles by taking the autotrain from Lorton, Virginia to Sanford, Florida and saved ourselves about 800 miles.
......One side note....no serious shopping was done whatsoever....
the guys had 3 GPS on this trip and our talking one we named 'Susie Q'....
she never, ever offered us a place to shop....
she found hotels at night, seafood all over the coast, gas stations, ferries, lighthouses and marinas....but NO SHOPPING!
Susie Q has now been retired!
I made 602 pictures with my digital camera....you will find a few below...
