Approaching our special 'vacation time' as a family is always....thrilling.
Going to the Hyatt Grand Cypress for 4 days and 3 nights is sheer....luxury.
Having our family with us is......Heaven!
Remembering America's 'Independence Day' plus my own birthday is a very good reason to celebrate to the limit.
Having a new family member, little PJ Cruz, with his Mom, MissiJo, and her Mom, DJ, join us will be absolutely....GREAT.
Of course we will be thinking of Daddy, Marine Chuckie, who is on a 'mission' in Iraq....and we will be taking pictures galore....posting some on this site so 'Dad' can see when he comes back from his 'mission'....
Our family tradition continues as we have been doing this every 4th of July for many years now.....every year it becomes more precious...
God's blessings astound us and we always take a special time for a 'family forum' in order to enumerate our blessings and memories.....

God, Family, Country.....what more could you want?
Why our 'Marine Chuckie' back home soon.....to contribute his part to the....

The Naked Truth!
Have you ever heard this expression, "He is telling the 'naked truth'!"
I had forgotten that colloquialism of the south.....
My dictionary says that "colloquialism is.......
...... informal expression: an informal word or phrase that is more common in conversation than in formal speech or writing......"
Today there are other phrases that seem to say this very same thing, for instance....no spin zone....
The Naked Truth projects a word picture of......total exposure, nothing hidden, everything out in the open..........
I have to smile in amusement as I reflect on an incident of long ago....
We were celebrating my dear Mom's 80th birthday and at one point several of her 'golden girl" friends and I were playing a game called, "I remember"....
There certainly was a history lesson around that table....
......but when it came to Mom's turn she said nonchalantly,
"I remember when women wore clothes and men told the truth..."

More Celebrating....The Good Life!
June 17th is Chad's Birthday....Sunday the 19th is Father's Day....
Some family members could not be at one celebration for both events....so we have been celebrating since the 16th on Thursday night....
Going to Arigato Japanese Steak House proved to be challenging.....traffic was heavy for many of us and it was not a relaxing time....but we all had fun anyway...
Joshua especially did....cake frosting and all...
Having spent the day with Melissa Jo and baby Cruz....taking care of 'Marine' business, i.e. getting a long delayed ID, registering the car at MacDill AFB, etc. we arrived at the celebration in a 'hectic' mood....but everyone had a good time after all....
Big brother, Chuck 'came to town' and had birthday/Father's Day lunch with us at Rattlefish Raw Bar & Grill....
A marina lunch was fun for our nautical minded men...
The two brothers, Chuck & Chad, very seldom have a chance to talk, have lunch or just reminisce....because both work so hard in their individual lives that time is of the essence....always.
The gifts exchanged were thoughtful and fun.....they were received and given as gifts of love....
Celebrating with those we love.....is the best gift of all!
